AFL CAREER

Adrian was recruited from Horsham by Geelong . He made his senior debut in 1992 and played 50games with the club between 1992 and 1995.

Adrian transferred to Carlton in 1996, and it was here that he made his name. Adrian became known as a tough, reliable utility player who soon became a member of Carlton’s leadership group. He was deputy vice-captain in 2002 and 2003, and captained the team for the last 3 games of the 2002 season. Adrian won the Best Clubman Award at Carlton both in 1999, and again in 2002.

Adrian’s leadership skills were recognised at the Club, and he became the mentor for many of the young developing players. His communication skills, together with his ability to communicate with players at all levels and his willingness to do the hard yards made him a role model at the club. Adrian has played under Malcolm Blight, Gary Ayres David Parkin, Wayne Brittain and Dennis Pagan.

POST AFL

Adrian’s ambition is to coach at AFL level. The past 3 years have been focused on achieving this goal. Adrian is currently the senior coach of TAC Cup team Gippsland Power. 2007 is his first year in this position, and the team is one of the leading contenders for the title. He has made a huge impression on the team, and is hopeful some of his players will be drafted at season end.

Previously, Adrian developed his coaching skills with 2 years at Shepparton in the Goulburn Valley League, and 1 year at Rumbalara.
