ANSTEY AND TIGERS READY FOR NBL FINALS
Chris Anstey is confident the second placed Melbourne Tigers are now on track to have a seious tilt at this year's National Basketball League Championship. With import Dave Thomas back on the floor after a knee injury, and the addition of Sean Lampley, the team certainly performed better over the past few games. FIVE WORLD CUP WINS TO JACQUI
Jacqui Cooper has cemented her lead in the rankings for the current season with her 5th World Cup victory. Her win at the Japanese resort of Inawashiro means she cannot be overtaken this season.
With 2 events left still on the World Cup in Moscow (RUS) and Davos (SUI) Jacqui now gunning for the World Overall Title - atitle she has previously won 3 times. This title/World ranking is for the whole sport. Freestyle Skiing has many disciplines under its umbrella – moguls, aerials, skier cross and skier half pipe. The points Jacqui have earned each week are averaged out and put into rank system against those athletes from the other freestyle skiing disciplines.
Jacqui is now ranked Number 1 in the World and is the most successful aerial skiier ever with a total of 24 World Cup victories.

ADRIAN HICKMOTT APPOINTED ESSENDON DEVELOPMENT COACH
Adrian Hickmott has been appointed Development Coach / Coach of Bendigo Bombers for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Adrian was delighted to be given the opportunity to assist the development of the talented young players on the Essendon list.
